Khandaker Abu Ashfaq MP stands by fire affected expatriate Selim in Dohar

Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, MP from Dhaka-1 Constituency, stood by the family of Dubai expatriate Selim, who was affected by the terrible fire in the Katakhali area of Dohar upazila.
Meanwhile, Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, MP from Dhaka-1 (Dohar and Nawabganj) constituency, inspected the ongoing canal excavation project in Dohar upazila.on Friday.
At this time, he said, the Prime Minister may come to inspect this canal. Therefore, the work of digging this canal must be completed quickly. He also urged that there should be no irregularities in the digging of the canal.
Earlier on Friday afternoon, he visited the family whose house was burnt down in a fire in Katakhali area. After receiving the news that the house and valuables were burnt down in the fire, he inquired about the family. He handed over financial assistance to the victim's wife Juthi Begum. At that time, Ashfaq consoled the family members who were overwhelmed with emotion after seeing the Dhaka-1 MP.
Khandaker Abu Ashfaq said that for now, the family can continue to live with cash. In the future, necessary assistance will be provided from the government and private sectors. When only one house burned down, the family took shelter in a neighbor's house.
It is worth noting that the family was left destitute after losing all their daily necessities, including cash, gold ornaments, and other belongings, in a fire that broke out late last Wednesday night.
He then visited the progress of the excavation work of Nayanagar Imamnagar Canal in Doha and Balughata Palamganj Bazar Canal and urged the contractor to work according to the rules. The work on this project is underway at a cost of about one crore taka.
