Lucky farmers selected digitally in Rupsha

Organized by the Rupsha Upazila administration, with the overall support of the Upazila Food Controller Office and the Agriculture Department, the selection of lucky farmers through an open lottery in the Boro 2025 season of the upazila was held at the Upazila Executive Officer's office on April 30 at 11 am.
The number of Boro paddy farmers in 15 blocks in 5 unions of Rupsha Upazila was 7672. Out of these, a total of 462 lucky farmers were selected with the aim of purchasing 462 million tons of paddy through the lottery. Paddy will be purchased by the government at a price of Tk 1440 per ton. U.N.O Akash Kumar Kundu presided over the program to select lucky farmers through the app in a digital manner.
Present at the event were Upazila Food Controller Officer Anindya Kumar Majumder, Project Implementation Officer Sheikh Borhan Uddin, Assistant Programmer Imran Hossain, Women's Affairs Officer Farhana Yasmin, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Himanshu Roy and others.
