National Climate Olympiad held at DU

The “First Bangladesh National Climate Olympiad” was held at Curzon Hall, Dhaka University on Friday jointly organized by Zero Competitions and Sustainability and Life Sciences Network ( SLSN ) .
Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam was present as the chief guest at the event.
The event was presided over by Bangladesh National Climate Olympiad Organizing Committee Advisor Prof Dr. Kazi Matin Uddin Ahmed, while Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Dhaka, Prof Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Chairman of the Department of Geology, Prof Dr. Md. Badruddoza Mia, Chairman of the Department of Disaster Science and Climate Resilience, BM Rabbi Hossain, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, Alexandra A. Khelvonoy, and Senior Coordinator of the Russian House in Dhaka, Mr. Delwar Hossain, spoke as special guests.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Abdus Salam congratulated the students from different parts of the country and said that due to climate change, the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is gradually increasing.
