
North Bengal's reputed industrialist Sahabuddin Mallick Nannu passes away

North Bengal's one of the successful businessmen, former successful president of Bangladesh Auto Rice Mill Owners Association Pabna district branch, soft-spoken, good-natured and unassuming personality, one of the leaders and managing director of Mallick Group of Industries, industrialist Md. Sahabuddin Mallick Nannu (68) breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Ishwardi Hospital at 6:30 am on Thursday. (Inna lillahi --- rajiun).
He left behind his wife, 1 son and 1 daughter, relatives and many admirers. After Asr prayers on Thursday, the funeral prayer was held at his house in Fatehmohammadpur in the city and the burial was completed at Fatehmohammadpur Central Cemetery. Shahabuddin Mallick, one of the craftsmen who raised the business that started little by little to the position it is today, has established industries and business institutions like Mallick Group's Rana Flower Mills Limited, Mallick Agro Food Industries Limited, Mallick Cement Mills Limited, MM Jute Fibers and Industries Limited, Mallick Chicks Limited, Mallick Paper Mills Limited and Sairunnesa School, providing employment to about five hundred families. On his death, BNP Central Executive Committee member and former MP freedom fighter Sirajul Islam Sardar, Pabna District Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Abu Taleb Mandal, Towhid Akhter Panna expressed deep sorrow on behalf of all the officers and members of the Central Executive Council of Iswardi Upazila Press Club, Iswardi TV Journalists Association and National Journalists Society and extended deep condolences to the bereaved family.
