Plantation, release  of fish fry in Manda

In continuation of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman's nationwide 25 crore tree plantation program in five years, tree plantations and fish spawning have been released in Naogaon Manda on Thursday on Friday. 
 
 These programs were held in different areas of the upazila by member secretary candidate of the Upazila Volunteer Party Anikur Rahman Anik.
 
Saplings of various species were planted on both sides of the Deluabari to Chowbaria road on Thursday. Later, Anikur Rahman Anik released the fry of various species of fish in the Shiv River under the Chaubaria Bridge.
 
 He also planted trees in different areas of the upazila on Friday afternoon.
The organizers said that the programs were conducted under the guidance of BNP central executive committee member, former convenor of DU Chhatra Dal and Manda Upazila BNP president MA Mateen.
 Leaders and activists of BNP and affiliated organizations participated in it.
 
Anikur Rahman Anik said, "We are trying to protect the environment at the local level by getting involved with the 25 crore tree plantation program of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman. Plantation is important in maintaining the balance of the environment. 
 
Local residents said that along with the planting of trees along the road, pedestrians will also get shade in the future, besides protecting the environment.
