PM working to make women self-reliant :Rahmatullah

BNP National Executive Committee member Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah has commented that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working relentlessly to make women economically self-reliant and develop them into self-respecting and skilled human resources.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a sewing machine distribution program for training women entrepreneurs organized by the 'Udyomi Nari Foundation' in front of Hatem Ali College in the Chowmatha area of Barishal city at 4:30 pm on Saturday.
He said, "There is no alternative to involving women in economic activities to ensure sustainable development of a country. Today, women are not only managing the family, but are also establishing themselves as entrepreneurs, job creators and one of the driving forces of the country's economic progress.
He further said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is very sincere about women's development and empowerment. Various practical plans are being taken to train women, create employment and develop them as small entrepreneurs. Family Card is part of this program. When a woman becomes self-reliant, not only a family but the entire society benefits. Therefore, everyone has to work together to advance women.
He praised the initiative of the 'Udyomi Nari Foundation' and said that activities like distributing sewing machines will make it easier for women to become self-reliant.
The event was presided over by Asma Akhter, President of Udyomi Nari Foundation, and was also attended by the organization's General Secretary Nadira Parveen Dina, entrepreneurs Ruma Parveen, Sabrina, Adhara Misty, Raisa, Mira Das, Baby Ghosh, Umme Hani, Tahmina and other women entrepreneurs, local dignitaries, various social and political figures and trainees.
At the end of the event, sewing machines were handed over to the selected women entrepreneurs for training.
