Polluting company in N’ganj fined

The Department of Environment has fined a company named S.R.B.G. Construction Tk 200,000 for causing air pollution in the Zinda Park area of Kanchan Purbachal, Rupganj upazila. The raid was led by Executive Magistrate and Senior Assistant Secretary Faizunnesa Akter from the Monitoring and Enforcement Wing of the Department of Environment on Wednesday afternoon.
A joint team comprising Rupganj police and officials from the Department of Environment's Narayanganj office participated in the operation. Assistant Director Md. Mobarak Hossain conducted the prosecution. The information was released in a press statement on Wednesday evening by Deputy Director A.H.M. Rashed of the Narayanganj office.
