A formal press conference was held on.Friday afternoon at The Artist Club Limited premises in Banani, the capital, with the aim of overall development of the artist, literary and cultural arena, establishing rights and building a strong creative platform.
The press conference was presided over by Mr. Sujit Mustafa, President of The Artist Club Limited. He highlighted the club’s vision, mission and long-term plans to advance artistic cooperation, professional development and cultural enrichment. He was accompanied by Secretary General Mr. Maruf Kabir and Treasurer Farid Kabir. Founding members Prof Mustafizur Rahman, Munmun Ahmed and Sigma Kabir were also present.
Established in 2024 and officially registered under the Joint Stock Company in 2025, The Artist Club Limited has already emerged as a vibrant platform in the country’s cultural arena. By organizing more than 100 cultural evenings through regular music concerts every Friday, the club has created an open platform for talented artists of different generations, including young artists, which has reached a global audience beyond the country.
It was informed at the press conference that The Artist Club Limited is not just a gathering; it is an effective institution to further consolidate artistic practice through professional development, networking, training, exhibitions, workshops and mentorship of artists. In addition, copyright, fair remuneration, protection of artists' rights and ensuring equal opportunities are also one of the main goals of the club.
The club is working to deepen the practice of art and culture, mutual cooperation and the development of diverse creativity at the local and international levels. Through this, it is expressed the determination to build a healthy cultural society and build a strong art-based environment for the next generation.
President Sujit Mustafa said, “The Artist Club Limited will serve as a unified, dignified and effective platform for artists, writers and cultural workers—where art, culture and human values will develop together.”
