Press conference demanding withdrawal of false case in Rupsha

A press conference was held at the school auditorium on Sunday at 4:30 pm by the teachers and guardians of Panchani Government Primary School of TSB Union demanding withdrawal of false conspiracy case against Yahia Sheikh, Acting Headmaster of Rupsha Aramoi Panchani Government Primary School.
Laila Jasmine Akhtari, the current acting headmaster of Aramoi Panchani Government Primary School, read a written statement at the press conference. In her written statement, she said that the school was established in 1953 on 1 acre 32 hundredths of an area. Since then, hundreds of children from this area have been studying.
Yahia Sheikh joined the institution as the acting headmaster about two years ago. Since joining, he has taken various steps, including improving reading and writing, in the interest of the institution. In the continuation of this, since there was no drinking water facility in the school, it was decided to take up water arrangements with the permission of the board of directors.
Then a few months ago, in need of money for pure water, he sold the mangoes from the mango tree located within the school boundary. After this incident, Zainul Abedin Khan and his people, who were nearby the school, obstructed it and claimed that their DCR was recently done. But they had never claimed that the property within the school boundary was their DCR. After the school headmaster Yahya Sheikh sold the mangoes from the mango tree, Zainul Abedin Khan and his people became angry.
On July 16, a charge of rape was filed against him by a fifth-grade student of the school. However, the place where the rape allegation was made is completely ridiculous. Later, the student's father filed a case with Rupsha Police Station on the charge of rape. Then, on July 20, the police arrested him and sent him to jail.
They announced their decision to organize more major programs, including a human chain, if necessary, to demand his release. Present at the event were Md. Abdus Sattar Khan, headmaster of Islampur Putimari Government Primary School, Afroza Khatun, wife of the arrested Yahia Sheikh and assistant teacher of Bahirdia Government Primary School, Afroza Nazneen, headmaster of Azgara Government Primary School, Rabiul Islam, assistant teacher of Majeda Government Primary School, Firoz Shai, assistant teachers Manorama Lahiri, Tania Sultana, SM Shafiqul Islam Oli, guardians of the students and local residents.
