Prof Dr. Nazmus Sadat new VC at GSTU

Dr. Nazmus Sadat, a professor of the Forestry and Wood Technology discipline of Khulna University, has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU).
The recruitment information was announced in a notification issued by the Science and Technology University Branch of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on Sunday.
According to the notification, with the approval of the President and the Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Nazmus Sadat has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the university in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Gopalganj University of Science and Technology Act, 2001 (Amended-2025).
The terms of appointment state that he will serve for a period of four years from the date of joining or till the prescribed time of retirement, whichever is earlier. During his tenure, he will receive salary and allowances equivalent to his current position and other benefits as per the rules.
In addition, as the university's Chief Executive Officer, he will have to be on campus at all times to perform his duties.
The notification further states that the President and Chancellor can cancel this appointment at any time if they deem it necessary.
