Public hearing held to ensure access to govt, semi govt service provides in Gaibandha

A public hearing was held in Gaibandha to ensure public access to services provided by various government, semi-government, autonomous offices, banks, and financial institutions, as well as to uphold integrity and moral values among government officials.
The event was organized on Monday at Gaibandha Indoor Stadium by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the District Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee.
The chief guest of the program was ACC Secretary Mohammad Khaled Rahim. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Nur Baks Babul of the Rangpur Anti-Corruption Commission and a reading from the Gita by Ujjal Chakraborty, a member of the District Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee.
The public hearing was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Masudur Rahman Molla. Among others, Director General of the ACC Headquarters Md. Motahar Hossain, Director General (Prevention) Md. Akhtar Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Sharif Al Rajib, and President of the District Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee M. Abdus Salam addressed the gathering.
A total of 97 complaints related to 32 departments, including government, semi-government, autonomous offices, banks, and financial institutions, were presented during the hearing. Officials from the respective departments responded to the complaints and ensured accountability.
In his speech, the chief guest said that administrative accountability, strict legal action, the use of technology and digitalization, and increased social awareness are essential to curb corruption in Bangladesh.
