With the theme "Technology-Driven Youth Power, Progress Through Multilateral Participation," the National and International Youth Day 2025 was celebrated in Morelganj, Bagerhat with various events on Tuesday.
Starting at 10 a.m, the program wss held at Upazila Parishad Auditorium featured a lively rally, youth gathering, discussion meeting, training certificate distribution, and check handover for youth loans.
UNO Md. Habibullah participated virtually as the chief guest. Presided over by Upazila Youth Development Officer A.K.M. Iktiar Uddin, special guests included Upazila Project Implementation Officer Abdullah Al Jaber, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Saiful Islam, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Abu Hanif, Upazila Social Services Officer Gautam Biswas, ICT Officer Tridip Sarkar, Public Health Engineer Md. Moniruzzaman, and Maulana Shahadat Hossain, Amir of Upazila Jamaat, among other dignitaries.
Additionally, the Upazila Red Crescent Youth Unit, various social organizations, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, NGO representatives, and journalists participated in the event.
At the conclusion of the program, two entrepreneurs were provided with a total of 300,000 Taka loan support checks to encourage fish farming. Gazi Md. Rakib from Gazi Ghat area of Putikhali Union and Mahabubul Hasan Naim from Batkhali Union each received checks worth 150,000 Taka.
Furthermore, training certificates were handed over to Masud Rana and Ragibul Islam Rajib from Cholombaria for successfully completing a 5-day training on biogas.
