Residents of Patnitala demand road repairs before monsoon

Locals in Naogaon's Patnitala have raised their voices demanding the urgent repair of the paved road stretching from the Nazipur municipal bus stand to Gaganpur Bazar via Babnabaj.
Despite organizing multiple human chains and other initiatives, the affected residents say that authorities have yet to take any effective action.
Firoz Ali, a proud son of Babnabaj village and an Associate Professor at Pabna University of Science and Technology, along with Sajedur Rahman, local manager of the NGO ‘RICK’ said,
we want the road repaired before the upcoming monsoon. As soon as it rains, potholes form. Parts of the paved road have already broken down and turned into ditches. Repairing this roughly 5-kilometer road is now essential for safe travel."
Abdul Gafur, General Secretary of the Patnitala branch of the movement 'Nirapad Sarak Chai' said, it is urgent to repair the road in order to ensure safety for all."
Patnitala Upazila Engineer Imtiaz Zaherul Haque said, decision will be made to prioritize the repair of this road."
Patnitala UNO Md. Alimuzzaman Milon added:
"We will draw the attention of the concerned authorities to ensure the road is repaired quickly."
