Some parties turning Bangladesh into land of death : Momin Mahadi

Staff Correspondent

Momin Mahadi, Chairman of Natundhara Bangladesh- NDB, has said, we are observing with grave concern that some parties are turning Bangladesh into a land of death.

Under the guise of politics, they are promoting unethical power plays; in the name of religion, they are spreading irreligion; in the name of humanity, they are inciting violence; in the name of education, they are fostering misinformation; and under the name of reform, they are deepening superstitions and savagery.”

He warned that if these elements are not resisted immediately through national unity, violence will escalate across the country, pushing Bangladesh towards civil war — something no citizen desires.

He made these remarks on July 16 during a discussion meeting titled “Which Road for Bangladesh?” held at the party’s central office on Topkhana Road, in protest of the incident that occurred in Gopalganj.

Leaders of Natundhara Bangladesh NDB also remarked that while people were once brutally killed due to fascist failures, today, even after Nobel Laureate Dr. Yunus has received the Peace Prize, he has failed to establish peace in the country.

The meeting was addressed by prominent party leaders including heroic freedom fighter Fazlul Haque, Presidium Member, Shanta Farzana, Senior Vice Chairman, Kazi Munni Alam, Acting Secretary General, Wazed Rana, Organizational Secretary and Rubel Akand.
