Student dies from lightning Strike in N’ganj

A tragic incident occurred in Bandar, Narayanganj, where a 14-year-old student named Nirab, an eighth-grader, lost his life due to a lightning strike. Nirab was the son of Afzal Mia, a Saudi expatriate, and lived in the Kamraba area of Kazipara, Bandar Upazila. He was a student of Panchamighat High School.
The incident took place on Wednesday at around 2:30 PM in the Nayapara area of Kamraba, Kazipara. According to local residents, after returning home from school, Nirab went to a nearby pond for a bath. Unfortunately, while he was in the water, lightning struck, killing him instantly.
His grandfather, Kabir Hossain, searched for him and eventually found him underwater. He was rushed to Madanpur The Baraka Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead.
