Temperature rises to 38.5 degrees in Chuadanga

The rise in temperature has made life in Chuadanga unstable. The temperature has risen to 38.5 degrees in a single jump. People of different classes and professions in the district have suffered greatly due to the onset of mild to moderate heat wave.On Thursday at 3 pm, the highest temperature was recorded in Chuadanga at 38.5 degrees Celsius. At that time, the humidity of the air was 34 percent, which further increased the intensity of the heat.On Wednesday at 3 pm, the highest temperature was recorded in Chuadanga at 36.3 degrees Celsius.The hardest hit by this sudden increase in temperature are the hard-working people. Meanwhile, the suffering of drivers standing in long lines at various oil pumps in the district has reached its peak.
Meanwhile, the pitch on the roads has been seen melting in the intense heat. This picture was seen in front of the municipality in the city.Shamim Hossain, a motorcycle driver from Chuadanga city, said, “It is very difficult to stand in line in this heat. My head is spinning. I have to wait for hours to get fuel, and in the meantime, my body is completely exhausted from the heat.”Another driver, Kamal, said, “I have been standing in line since morning. My body is getting worse from standing in the sun. On top of the hardship of fuel, this heat is also very bad.”Not only the drivers, but the condition of the daily wage workers has also become pathetic. Many are falling ill while working in the scorching sun.Hasan Ali, a daily wage worker from Kulchara village, said, “The sun is so intense that I cannot work properly. Still, I have to work because of my stomach. My body is starting to burn in the midday sun.”Ratan Ali, a van driver from Satgari village, said, “It is very difficult to work in this heat. I have to rest after a while. But if I rest too much, my income decreases, so I am forced to continue working.”Jaminur Rahman, In-Charge  of Chuadanga First Class Meteorological Observatory, said that the temperature has crossed 38.5 degrees for the first time this season. A moderate heat wave is currently blowing over the district, which is likely to continue for the next few days.
