Hundreds of thousands of devout Muslims gathered at an Islamic gathering in Noakhali to demand a ban on 'Hezbut Tawheed', calling it a blacklisted militant organization that destroys faith.

This demand was raised at a grand rally organized jointly by Jamiatul Madarisil Qawmia Noakhali-Lakshipur and the Anti-Islamic Activities Prevention Committee under the supervision of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh at the Noakhali District School Ground on Saturday.

The chief guest at the Islamic conference was Allama Shah Muhibullah Babunagari, the central Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh. He said that the faith-destroying militant organization Hizb-ut-Tawhid is skillfully making thousands of Muslims lose their faith under the guise of service. Due to which the consciousness of the Haqqani Ulama-e-Karam and the Tawhidi people of this country is being damaged. The long-standing communal harmony of the country is being destroyed. Stability is being disrupted. The Tawhidi people of all walks of life are being angered and the independence and sovereignty of the country are being threatened due to their plans to implement their foreign agenda. Therefore, he demanded that the government officially ban 'Hizb-ut-Tawhid'.

In the two sessions of the rally, under the chairmanship of Maulana Siddiqur Rahman, President of Jamiatul Madarisil Qawmia Noakhali-Lakshipur and Maulana Nizam Uddin, Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Noakhali District, and jointly moderated by Mufti Muinuddin Tayyabpuri and Maulana Mohiuddin, among others, the following spoke: Allama Khalil Ahmed Qureshi, Director General of Jamia Ahlia Darul Uloom Hathazari, Allama Abdul Hamid Madhupuri, Ameer of Khatme Nabuot Preservation Committee, Mufti Arshad Rahmani, Director General of Islamic Research Center Bashundhara, Allama Salauddin Nanupuri, Muhtamim of Jamia Obaidiya Nanupuri, Convener of Islamic Mahasamavesh Implementation Committee, Allama Mufti Mustaqunnabi Qasemi, Central Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Shaykh Sajidur Rahman, Senior Nayeb Ameer of Islamic Movement Bangladesh Mufti Syed Md. Faizul Karim, Maulana Azizullah Nawab, Maulana Siddique Ahmed Noman, Maulana Nurul Islam, etc.

At the rally, Noakhali-04 constituency MP Md. Shahjahan, Noakhali District Council Administrator Harunur Rashid Azad, Noakhali District BNP convener Mahbub Alamgir Alo, Noakhali business leaders Md. Ikram Ullah Deputy, along with leaders of various political parties, business leaders, leaders of professional organizations and social leaders expressed solidarity.

The speakers demanded that the government ban Hizb-ut-Tawhid immediately. Their books, newspapers and websites should be closed. Their bank accounts, which are operating against the country's independence and sovereignty, should be seized through an impartial investigation. The cases filed by Hizb-ut-Tawhid against various innocent Muslims across the country should be withdrawn.

In order to achieve the demands announced in the grand assembly, various programs were announced, including a mass signature program by the Ulama-e-Keram and the Tawheed community across the country, submission of memorandums to the Deputy Commissioners and Upazila Executive Officers of every district and upazila of the country, and seminars, mahfils and opinion exchange programs in phases to unveil the nature of Hejbut Tawheed until December 31
