Two arrested while smuggling drugs in Rupsha

In an anti-drug operation by the Narcotics Control Department in the Rupsha police station area of Khulna district, two people were arrested along with 80 (eighty) bottles of various types of foreign liquor and a private car.
It is learned that on Thursday, May 14, at 9.30 pm, a silver-colored private car was searched in the Zabusa area (east side of the Setu Toll Plaza) on the Khulna-Dhaka Highway in Rupsha upazila of Khulna district and the two drivers, Mohammad Abdur Rahim Sharif (53) and Md. Wahab Sikder (60), were arrested from inside the car.
At that time, a search was carried out in the private car they were using and 80 bottles of various types of foreign liquor and a private car used for drug sales were seized along with the bag in the private car.
In the said incident, Jahanara Khatun, Sub-Inspector of the Narcotics Control Department, District Office Khulna "-K" Circle, filed a regular case against the accused at Rupsha Police Station.
