Walton makes history with first-ever motherboard export to USA

Walton, the country’s leading electronics and technology brand, has started exporting motherboards (PCBA) to USA for sensitive security devices. Walton has made history with the first-ever motherboard export from Bangladesh to USA. Through Walton, a great milestone has been achieved in the Bangladesh’s high-tech product manufacturing sector.

This world-class motherboard made by Walton will be used in the American security devices of ‘Soteria System’, a cutting-edge active shooter response and emergency evacuation technology. This system ensures immediate action by alerting occupants through audio and visual cues, enables safe separation by dynamically guiding individuals away from danger, and enhances responder response by directing first responders to the threat.

 

It is a great pride and honor for the high-tech product manufacturing industry of Bangladesh that Walton hardware is used in special security devices that saves people’s lives. With the export of motherboard in USA, Walton has opened the door of the global market for the potential world-class Bangladeshi technology products.

To celebrate the export of motherboard from Bangladesh to USA, a grand ceremony was organized at Walton Corporate Office in the capital on Monday (September 15, 2025).

At the function, the officials of the domestic tech-giant said, Walton is exporting household electronics products with the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ tag to more than 50 countries around the world. In USA, Walton is initially exporting more than 2,500 pieces of motherboards to Safepro Technologies Inc., an IT company located at Wisconsin State in USA. The initial export amounts are equivalent to about Tk 2.5 million.

Safepro Technologies Inc. has a wide reputation and contribution in providing effective security systems to protect the lives of all kinds of people, including young students of American schools and colleges, in emergencies. Through the company, Walton’s hardware from Bangladesh has now been added to the security devices of the United States.

 

Walton is the only PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and PCBA, known as motherboard, manufacturer in Bangladesh. The special security devices made of Walton’s PCBA, will be installed in various institutions including schools in the United States. This device will help in immediate detection, prevention, warning and rapid rescue operations of illegal shootings. It will ensure immediate action by warning through audio and visual signals, quickly evacuate the affected people from danger to a safe place and actively help in taking effective action against the threat.

The function was attended by Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb as the chief guest, who is Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the interim government and in-charge of the Ministry Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology. As special guest, Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, was also present.

Among others, S M Shamsul Alam, Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, S M Rezaul Alam, Chairman of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Ltd, S M Monjurul Alam Ovee, Managing Director of Walton Digi-Tech Industries, Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, Chief Executive Officer of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation and Adil Hossain Nobel, CEO of Axentac PLC, a subsidiary of Robi Axiata, also attended the event.

Besides, Paul L. Eckert, Founder and President of Safepro Technologies Inc, who is importing motherboard from Walton, also joined the event virtually.

Addressing the function, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb said, “I am very excited that Bangladesh is exporting motherboards to USA, where there is Silicon Valley. Undoubtedly, this is a historic milestone for Walton and Bangladesh.”

He noted that the global market for PCB and PCBA is about US$80 billion, which will further grow up by more US$30 billion in the next five to six years. Walton has started its journey in this huge global market by exporting PCBA to USA.

Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, said, “America, the most powerful and developed country in the world, is importing motherboards from Bangladesh. This is not only for Walton; it is also a very proud and historic success for Bangladesh.”

 

Paul L. Eckert, founder and president of SafePro Technologies Inc. of America, said, “Walton has become a symbol of innovation, quality and trust in the electronics and technology product manufacturing sector. Walton gives utmost importance to the design, innovation and production of each product. This has created a unique position for Walton compared to others. Walton has already made a place in the global market by exporting various types of products. We are really happy to receive world-class motherboards from Walton. Walton’s motherboard will undoubtedly enhance the quality of our security devices.”

He highly praised Walton for making Bangladesh known to the world as a hub for technology products. The American entrepreneur mentioned that Walton will be able to make an important contribution to other areas of sustainable technology, including security devices.

Speaking at the function, S M Rezaul Alam, Chairman of Walton Digi-Tech Industries, said, “We are manufacturing world-class PCBs and PCBAs in our own production plant, which are being also used in Walton’s products. In addition to meet our own internal demands, we are supplying PCBs and PCBAs to Bangladeshi electronics and IT entrepreneurs in the domestic market for a long time. Recently, Walton has successfully exported more than 10,000 pieces of PCBs and PCBAs to the European country Greece. Producing high-quality PCBs and PCBAs in Bangladesh is resulted in saving huge amount of foreign currencies. In addition, domestic entrepreneurs are getting the PCBAs swiftly to produce their devices. Also, Walton is able to make a significant contribution to the country’s foreign exchange supply by exporting PCBs and PCBAs like other electronics and technology products.”

He said that Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC and Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited are merging to bring about a breakthrough change in the software and hardware sectors. The merger of these two leading companies in the electronics and technology manufacturing sector will facilitate the large-scale production of electric bikes and lithium batteries in the country.

The guests also unveiled two models of Walton’s new eco-friendly Takyon electric bikes or e-bikes. With modern design, powerful motors, long-lasting battery backup and a mileage of just 10-15 paisa per kilometer, these new e-bikes from Walton will become smart and eco-friendly travel companions for urban and rural life.
