Workshop on book submission to National Library, use se of ISBN in original, creative publications held in Khulna

A workshop on book submission to the National Library of Bangladesh and the use of ISBN in original and creative publications was held at the conference room of the District Circuit House recently.
The event was graced by Mr. Khandaker Zahurul Islam, Director General and Additional Secretary of the Department of Archives and Libraries, Dhaka, as the Chief Guest. The session was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Saiful Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna.
In his speech, the Chief Guest emphasized that the use of ISBN in original and creative publications is extremely important. He mentioned that the use of ISBN ensures proper recognition of a writer’s or publisher’s creative work.
During the workshop, a PowerPoint presentation was delivered highlighting the significance of ISBN and its necessity for writers and publishers. The presentation was conducted by Mr. Md. Jamal Uddin, Deputy Director, Department of Archives and Libraries, Dhaka.
An open discussion followed, where Mr. Md. Muslim Uddin, Bibliographer, Department of Archives and Public Libraries, Dhaka, and Mr. Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education), Khulna, shared their insights.
