A citizens' mourning meeting of Convener of Gaibandha Massacre Conservation Committee, former Municipal Councilor and Socialist Student Front District Branch GM Chowdhury Mithu was held on Thursday at ocal Ganasas Auditorium organized by the Gaibandha Social Struggle Council.

 Intellectuals, political, social, cultural, journalists, freedom fighters and people of different classes were present in the mourning.

 At the beginning, a minute of silence was observed and the portrait was greeted. Later, his sacrifice and working life were held. 

President of the organization Aminul Islam Golap presided over the civic condolences, CPB central co-secretary Mihir Ghosh, hero freedom fighter Mahmudul Haque Shahzada, hero freedom fighter Moinul Islam Raja, journalist Govindlal Das, Gobindla Das, Jawas Jahdan Jahdan Jahdan Jahdan JahdanBasad District convener Golam Rabbani, Ganaforam District General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Bablu, GM Chowdhury Mithu's elder brother Mohsin Chowdhury Shamim, former Basad leader Omar Habib Badsha, district president of the labor movement Abdul MdMember Jewel Mia, Mrinal Kanti Barman of the Rastar Reform Movement, Feroz Ahmed of the Revolutionary Workers Party, Basad Makarsist District Member Paramanand Das, Workers Party District Leader Kamrul Islam, Central Committee member of the Socialist Women's Forum Israt Jahan Lipi.

The speakers said that GM Chowdhury Mithu played a leading role in various social and civic activities. His life was brilliant in versatile activities. This personality will be remembered for the people of the society forever. He kept himself involved in the services and social activities of humanity for a lifetime. He was a secular, a man of the spirit of the democratic liberation war.

 The speakers also said that Mithu was a protestist and a man of the Octavian. People are going to disappear from the unfortunate country.
