38 arrested including 4 in Special Operation in Rajshahi city

A total of 38 individuals have been arrested by various police stations and Detective Branch (DB) of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) during a special operation across the metropolitan area.
In the past 24 hours ending Thursday, 4 individuals were arrested from different parts of the city on charges of illegal influence, terrorist activities, and extortion. Among them, 2 were arrested for terrorist activities, and 2 others for extortion and illegal occupation. Additionally, 34 others were arrested on various charges, including 15 with warrants, 4 in drug-related cases, and 15 in other cases.
The individuals arrested in the special operation are: Zakir Hossain (28), KM Aminul Islam (55), Md. Saiful Islam Khan (46), and Md. Sanowar Hossain (27).
Awami League activist Zakir Hossain is the son of Md. Zahid Ali of Barkutipara in Boalia Model Police Station area of Rajshahi. Aminul is the son of late KM Abdul Gani from Shekher Chak, Ghoramara area under the same police station. Extortionist Saiful is the son of late Yunus Ali Khan from Greater Road area under Rajpara Police Station. He is also a former joint general secretary of Rajpara Thana Awami League. Sanowar is the son of Mozammel Hossain from the Baro Kuthi Camp area under Boalia Police Station.
Legal action has been taken against the arrestees by RMP.
