Senior journalist and freedom fighter Lablu Ansar and emerging journalist Anik Raj have been unanimously elected President and General Secretary, respectively, of the America-Bangladesh Press Club (ABPC) for the 2027–2028 executive term.

The new committee was formally approved during the organization's annual general meeting held on Saturday afternoon, October 31, 2026, at the Itji Party Hall in Jackson Heights, New York.

 The session was presided over by outgoing President Rashed Ahmed and conducted by outgoing General Secretary Shah Faruq Rahman, during which several new membership applications were also formally ratified.

The newly formed executive committee comprises President Lablu Ansar (bdnews24.com); Vice Presidents Alim Khan Akash (BiswaBangla24 TV) and Azim Uddin Ovee (Jamuna TV); General Secretary Anik Raj (Weekly Aajkal); Joint Secretary Nurunnahar Khan Nisha (BiswaBangla24 TV); Treasurer Zaman Tapan (NYVoice24.com); Organizational Secretary Anisur Rahman; and Publicity Secretary Samik Ahmed (Channel i). The executive members include Rashed Ahmed (Channel i), Shah Faruq Rahman (BDYork), Ajit Bhowmik, Subrata Chowdhury, and Alamgir Kabir.

Additionally, the press club inducted seven new members: Abul Hasan Milon (BiswaBangla24 TV), Shaheen Howlader, Oporbo Babu, Khorshed Alam Rinku, Md. Shahidul Haque, Tahirul Islam, and Mohammad Ayoub Ali.

The incoming leadership appealed for the continued support and cooperation of the Bangladeshi-American expatriate community for all forthcoming organizational initiatives. 

Maintaining the press club's annual tradition, the committee announced plans for an extensive Thanksgiving Day celebration scheduled for Thursday evening, November 26, 2026, at the Nabanna Party Hall in Jackson Heights. Furthermore, the club resolved to strengthen engagement with its founding members to make organizational activities more community-oriented.
