Walton Plaza introduces emergency cash withdrawal facility for installment customers
Leading electronics, electrical, and home appliance retailer Walton Plaza has launched a new financial facility enabling customers who purchase products on installment to withdraw cash during urgent financial needs.
Under this initiative, holders of the "Installment Customer Protection Card" can withdraw cash equivalent to a maximum of one installment amount during emergencies. A key feature of the service is its nationwide accessibility; customers can draw cash from any Walton Plaza branch across Bangladesh regardless of which specific outlet they originally purchased their goods from, eliminating the need to return to the point of purchase.
Walton Plaza authorities stated that the service, which became effective on October 1, 2026, is designed to ensure financial security and provide emergency assistance to customers during difficult times.
This facility complements Walton Plaza's existing "Installment Customer and Family Protection Policy." Under this ongoing welfare framework, if a protection cardholder passes away while paying installments, the customer's family receives financial assistance ranging from Tk 50,000 to Tk 3 lakh based on the value of the purchased product. In the event of the death of an immediate family member, beneficiaries receive between Tk 25,000 and Tk 1.5 lakh. Furthermore, the remaining unpaid installments for the product are entirely waived, and Walton Plaza facilitates employment opportunities for a qualified member of the deceased customer's family.
Cardholders also enjoy privileged discounts and services for daily needs such as healthcare, education, travel, shopping, and entertainment. Walton Plaza has established partnerships with over 5,000 corporate and institutional entities across all eight administrative divisions of the country, including hospitals, diagnostic centers, educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, resorts, amusement parks, airlines, and fashion outlets.
To further support customer health and well-being, Walton Plaza operates telemedicine and "Happiness and Healthcare" programs. Local plaza officials actively assist customers with hospital admissions, emergency patient transport, blood procurement, and medical consultations.
