Anti-corruption debate competition held in Kuliarchar

An anti-corruption debate competition and prize distribution ceremony-2026 was held in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj under the slogan "Youth unity against corruption will build purity for the future."
Organized by the Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee in collaboration with the Kishoreganj District Anti-Corruption Commission and the upazila administration, the competition and award distribution ceremony took place at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Kuliarchar Upazila Parishad auditorium.
UNO Md. Yasin Khandakar was present as the chief guest, while Ishtehad Ahmed, Assistant Director of the Kishoreganj District Anti-Corruption Commission, attended as the special guest. The program was presided over by Md. Idrish Miah, President of the Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee, and moderated by the committee's General Secretary, Md. Nurul Alam Rashid.
Also present were Upazila Local Government Engineer SRMG Kibria, Resident Medical Officer of the Upazila Health Complex Dr. Tamal Kanti Mallick, Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Masudur Rahman, Veterinary Surgeon of the Upazila Livestock Department Dr. Brishti Pandit, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Mahmuda Sultana, members of the Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee Lila Rani Saha, Md. Naimuzzaman Naim, and Ali Haider Shahin, along with heads of various educational institutions and students.
Kuliarchar Government High School, MUSA Miah High School, Chhoysuti Union High School and College, and Laxmipur Dimukhi High School participated in the competition. Laxmipur Dimukhi High School emerged as the champion.
Rafiqul Bahar, Lecturer in the Philosophy Department at Kuliarchar Government College, served as the debate moderator. Upazila Academic Supervisor Muhammad Mushfiqur Rahman, Lecturer in Economics at Kuliarchar Government College Md. Masud Rana, and Upazila Assistant Primary Education Officer Md. Anisur Rahman acted as judges.
Organizers stated that the main objective of such debate competitions is to foster anti-corruption awareness, moral values, and honesty among students, as well as to inspire future generations to build a corruption-free society.
