Attack, vandalism due to previous enmity in Pangsha, 2 injured

Armed attack and vandalism occurred due to previous enmity in Pangsha, Rajbari. Two people were seriously injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at the Pangsha Upazila Health Complex.The injured are Monirul Islam, son of Mostafa, and Rakibul Islam, of Brittidanga village in Sarisha union of the upazila.In this incident, Md. Moniruzzaman, son of Md. Yakub Munshi of Brittidanga village, has filed a written complaint with the Pangsha Model Police Station, mentioning the names of 11 people. The accused are: Md. Iqbal, Md. Uzir Biswas, Md. Raja, Md. Swapan Sardar, Md. Amir Sardar, Md. Samim, Md. Idris, Md. Jotna, Md. Diraj Mondal, Md. Latif Mondal and Md. Samrat.
The complainant said that the accused came to the Bhartidanga market at around 9 pm on Tuesday and abused them. When they protested, Diraj Mandal hit Monirul on the right hand with a Chinese axe and others beat Monirul and Rakib with sticks, rods, and hockey sticks. The two seriously injured have been admitted to the hospital.
He also alleged that the attackers vandalized three houses of Moniruzzaman in the market and looted about 100 maunds of onions.
The phone of one of the accused was found switched off, while the brother of another said that he was sick and going to Faridpur for treatment.
Pangsha Model Police Station OC Mohammad Salauddin said, “We have received a written complaint and legal action will be taken after investigation.”
