In anticipation of the upcoming Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) central committee election, scheduled for August 9, a panel introduction and exchange meeting was held Thursday night at 9 PM at Swapnochhoya Community Center in Faridpur.

The event was presided over by Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Shamim, president of DAB Faridpur, and moderated by Dr. F.M. Kamal. Dr. Abdus Shakur Khan, the panel’s candidate for General Secretary, was present as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized unity among nationalist-minded physicians, stating despite differing opinions during elections, we are ultimately one family rooted in nationalist ideology. The purpose of this panel is to unite and strengthen nationalist doctors, and we aim to move forward together. We request your support for the Aziz-Shakur panel to serve the medical community effectively.”

The session introduced key panel members including Oresidential candidate Dr. Aziz, Vice-presidential candidate Saif Uddin Nisar Ahmed Tushan,Joint General Secretary candidate Dr. Abu Mohammad Ahsan Firoz and  Treasurer candidate Dr. Touhidur Rahman Jon (former VP of Dhaka Medical College)

Other attendees included Dr. Mizanur Rahman Mizan, General Secretary of DAB at Faridpur Medical College; Dr. Shakil, President of Faridpur Medical College Chhatra Dal; Dr. Rubel, Senior Joint Secretary; Dr. Yamin, Senior Vice President; along with current and former leaders of Faridpur Medical College Chhatra Dal.

The event concluded with calls for solidarity and collective advancement within the nationalist physician community.
