
Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing in Porsha border

A Bangladeshi named Ibrahim (37) was killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Porsha border in Naogaon.
He is the son of late Syed Ali of Rodgram in Sapahar upazila. According to sources in Ibrahim's village, Ibrahim entered India through the Nitpur border on Wednesday night to take buffaloes.
When he was returning with a pair of buffaloes in the morning, when he reached 500 yards inside India at the 228th border pillar area, members of the Agrabad BSF camp opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. Later, BSF members recovered his body on Thursday afternoon.
When asked about this, Lt. Col. Ariful Islam Masum, commander of 16 BGB, said that they had heard about the matter. The matter could not be confirmed. However, they said they are investigating the matter. He also said that members of the Agrabad BSF camp in India have denied the incident.
