
BGB detained Indian youth with alcohol for crossing border in Chunarughat

An Indian youth has been arrested by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) while illegally crossing the Bangladesh-India border. He was detained by the regular patrol team of 55 BGB in the Manglia area of Chunarughat upazila on Monday morning.
The arrested youth's name is Miton Das (24), son of Johorlal Das, from Silchar Town, Cachar, Assam, India. According to BGB sources, he was arrested while entering Bangladesh through border pillar 1952/26-SL area.
During the search, Indian rupees, Bangladeshi currency, a bottle of Indian liquor, a mobile phone, an Indian Aadhar card, a PAN card, an ID card, two wristwatches, a wallet, and a mobile charger were recovered from him.
The arrested individual was later handed over to the Chunarughat police station for legal processing. The Officer-in-Charge of the police station, Nur Alam, confirmed the authenticity of the information.
