BNP holds protest rally in Dohar against AL's 'propaganda, anarchy'

Dohar Upazila and Municipality units of the BNP along with their affiliate organizations, staged a massive protest procession and rally on Tuesday.
The demonstration was organized to voice opposition to what the leaders described as continuous propaganda, unparliamentary politics, and anarchy propagated across the country by the Awami League.
The protest program commenced at around 11:00 AM from the Koram Ali Mor area of the upazila. A large number of BNP activists and leaders marched through the streets, concluding the procession at the Kalema Chottor intersection, where they held a brief rally to address the gathering.
Speaking at the rally, Dohar Upazila BNP President Nazrul Islam Mesher issued a stern warning against any attempts to disrupt public life. He stated that the Awami League, which he accused of killing nearly 2,000 people during the July mass uprising, would face absolute resistance if it attempted to harm citizens, torch vehicles, or stir up chaos again. He added that if any further anarchy is unleashed, the political identity of the organization would be wiped from the country's soil permanently.
Echoing similar sentiments, Dohar Municipality BNP President SM Kuddus claimed that the Awami League's activities remain restricted under anti-terrorism laws. He alleged that local elements of the party were secretly preparing to carry out subversive activities under the guise of celebrating the party's founding anniversary, noting that the local administration remains highly vigilant on the matter.
The protest rally was also attended by Dohar Upazila BNP Vice President Nurul Islam Bepari and General Secretary Md. Masud, among other senior leaders of the local chapters and front organizations.
