Body of young man with throat slit recovered in Jhalakathi

Police have recovered the body of a young man named Sohel Karigar (30) with his throat slit from a pond in Baukathi village of Nabagram union in Jhalokati Sadar upazila.
On Friday at around 8:30 am, locals spotted the body and informed the police station. On receiving the information, the police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue.
The deceased Sohel Kargi was the son of the deceased Jinnat Ali Kargi of Baukathi village in Nabagram union of Jhalakathi Sadar upazila. For many years, he had been repairing motor vehicle parts by renting a shop next to the Fishery Office in the Jhalakathi bus stand area in order to earn a living.
Locals said that a man named Roni Talukder, who was cutting grass in the morning, found a bloody body with his throat slit on the bank of a pond. He later informed the Dafadar Akkas Ali Farazi about the matter. It is believed that miscreants killed him on Thursday night and left the body behind.
The deceased's elder brother Haider Badsha said, "There was an attempt to kill my brother about a year and a half ago. He was rescued unconscious and admitted to the hospital. I don't know who killed my brother again today. I want justice for my brother's murder."
OC of Jhalakathi Sadar Police Station said that the body has been recovered and sent to the morgue of Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital for autopsy. A case will be filed in this incident.
