Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, has instructed the local administration to implement strict and necessary measures to completely eliminate drug abuse and trafficking from Dewanganj Upazila in Jamalpur.
He issued the directive as the chief guest while addressing an exchange-of-views meeting on local law and order and regional development held at 11:00 AM on Saturday in the conference room of the Dewanganj Upazila Parishad.
Emphasizing zero tolerance for drug-related offenses, the Minister stated that establishing a healthy, prosperous society is impossible without eradicating narcotics. He urged administrative officials, public representatives, political leaders, and local citizens to work in unison to make anti-drug drives successful.
Addressing the national energy situation, Rashiduzzaman Millat observed that ongoing electricity and gas shortages stem from the unplanned policies of the previous administration. However, he expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government will overcome these energy challenges.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Dewanganj Upazila administration alongside local leaders and activists of the BNP.
