Prize distributed for National Sirat Seminar,   DUCSU Talent Hunt Competition

The award ceremony of the 'National Sirat Seminar and DUCSU Talent Hunt Competition-2026' was held at the initiative of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU). The seminar and award ceremony were held at the Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the university on Sunday. 

DUCSU VP Abu Sadiq Kayem presided over the event. At the event, the distinguished guests and panelists presented cash prizes and certificates worth a total of 1.5 lakh taka to a total of 30 winners in the three categories of DUCSU Talent Hunt Competition-2026: Quran, Hadith and Sirat.

Poet, writer and researcher Shaykh Musa Al Hafiz, Masjid Taqwar Khatib Hafez Mufti Saiful Islam, Sabil Foundation founder and chairman Professor Md. Mokhtar Ahmed and former chairman of the Arabic department of Dhaka University Professor Dr. Zubair Muhammad Ehsanul Haque were present as honorable speakers at the seminar.

The panelists highlighted various aspects of the life, ideals, morality and human values of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They said that the life philosophy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not limited to religious teachings only; rather, it contains important teachings of justice, equality, humanity, tolerance and responsibility in individual, social and state life. Along with the pursuit of knowledge, the development of moral and human qualities is essential for the complete development of a student. Such an event can play an important role in encouraging students' interest and talent in the Quran, Hadith and Sirat. They also emphasized the need to further expand the Sirat practice to spread these values among the younger generation. 

DUCSU VP Abu Sadiq Kayem said, Dhaka University is not only a place for acquiring academic knowledge; it is also one of the main centers for developing knowledge, culture, values and leadership. Along with developing the talent and talent of students, it is also our responsibility to develop their moral and human qualities.

Hafez Tajinur Rahman, DUCSU executive member and convenor of the National Sirat Competition, delivered the welcome speech at the event moderated by Fazle Rabbi Sarkar, convener of Dhaka University Inqilab Manch.

In his welcome speech, Hafez Tajinur Rahman said, 'DUCSU Talent Hunt competition is organized to enlighten the lives of students in the light of the Holy Quran, Hadith and Sirat. Our goal is to play a role in building a well-organized, just society and state by inspiring students with moral values.'

DUCSU Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Iqbal Haider, Career Development Affairs Secretary Mazharul Islam, International Affairs Secretary Jasim Uddin Khan (Khan Jasim), leaders of DUCSU and various halls of parliament, and students from various departments of Dhaka University were present at the event.
