Closing Ceremony of GCED Program held in Rangpur

The closing ceremony of the “Global Citizenship Education” (GCED) program was held on August 21, 2025 at Kaliganj Karim Uddin Public Pilot High School, Lalmonirhat under Rangpur Division with much enthusiasm. The program, which was started on July 14, 2025, concluded with a colorful event featuring certificate and award distribution among successful participants.
International personality and noted environmentalist Mr. Mohammad Riaal Ahsan attended as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he praised the school’s efforts in raising environmental awareness and engaging students in combating climate pollution. He emphasized that climate change is a global challenge and highlighted the significant role of the young generation in addressing it. He further noted that activities such as tree plantation, reducing plastic use, adopting reusable materials, and maintaining cleanliness, along with saving water, electricity, and paper, can make a meaningful contribution to protecting the environment.
The Headmaster, Mr. Khurshiduzzaman Ahmed, called upon all teachers and students to continue implementing the initiatives taken under the GCED program to safeguard the environment. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates to students who excelled during the program.
