Bangladesg Coast Guard has provided emergency medical service to sick elderly woman in Chandpur
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Hoque gave this information on Tuesday noon.
The press release said, on Tuesday, a woman along with her ailing mother departed from Lalmohon, Bhola, towards Dhaka by the passenger launch MV Karnaphuli-12 for advanced treatment. When the launch reached the area adjacent to Kaliganj at 2:00 AM, the patient’s health condition deteriorated. Immediately, the patient’s daughter called the Coast Guard emergency service number 16111 and sought help.
Based on the received information, a medical team from Coast Guard Station Chandpur quickly proceeded to the said launch by a high-speed boat. Later, the medical team provided the patient with primary treatment and brought her to Chandpur Mukherjee Ghat by high-speed boat.
The press release further said, thereafter, for advanced treatment, the patient was transported towards Dhaka by a hired private car.
