
Digital Survey to reduce land disputes : DG

Md. Saidur Rahman, Director General (Grade-1) of the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys, stated that the ongoing digital survey system would significantly reduce land-related complications if properly implemented. Online processes will make tasks much easier, and land disputes and legal cases will decrease.
He made these remarks on Monday during a seminar on raising awareness about the ongoing digital land survey in the Narayanganj City Corporation area. The seminar was held in the conference room of the Narayanganj District Commissioner.
Director General Saidur Rahman emphasized, "We must successfully complete this project. The success of this project will determine similar efforts nationwide. This initiative is new for us, and we haven't worked on something like this before. To make it successful, we need everyone's cooperation."
The seminar, presided over by Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah, was attended by Md. Mominur Rashid, Director of the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys; Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Chief Executive Officer of the City Corporation; Mohammad Masudur Rahman Molla, Deputy Project Director; Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman, Zonal Settlement Officer; and several other officials.
Wth financial and technical support from South Korea, digital land surveys have been initiated in Narayanganj City Corporation, Manikganj Municipality, and Dhamrai Upazila under the "Establishment of Digital Land Management System" project.
