
Discussion held in Satkhira on July Martyrs' Day

A discussion meeting was held in memory of the July martyrs as part of the state mourning on the occasion of Martyrs' Day 2025 on Wednesday.

The meeting was presided over by Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed at the conference room on Wednesday morning. He said, "The sacrifice of the July martyrs is an inspiration for us. We can build a society of equality, justice and non-discrimination through their ideals."
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bishnupada Pal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Mukit Hasan Khan, District Jamaat Ameer Vice Principal Shahidul Islam Mukul, District Information Officer Jaharul Islam Tutul, Satkhira District Convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Arafat Hossain, and family members of those injured and martyred in the July Movement also spoke at the event.
The speakers paid deep respect to the martyrs and said that this day reminds us that sacrifices in the struggle for freedom and rights never go in vain. They also said that it is very sad that the government is making excuses about the July Charter. The injured students strongly demanded the implementation of the July Charter as soon as possible.
At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the martyred July War veterans and the injured.
