Fine by Mobile Court on sweet makers for unhygienic conditions in Shyamnagar

Two sweet shop owners in Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira, were fined by a mobile court. Both were fined a total of 40,000 taka for producing sweets in unhygienic conditions. 
 
 On Tuesday morning,  a mobile court was conducted at the Shyamnagar Upazila headquarters by the Upazila Executive Officer, Ms. Rani Khatun. 
 
 The mobile court inspected various shops including Promise Sweets, Mishti Mahal, and Satkhira Ghosh Dairy near Chourastha in the upazila. Mishti Mahal and Promise Sweets were each fined 20,000 taka under the Consumer Rights Protection Act, totaling 40,000 taka. During the operation, spoiled, stale, and expired products were publicly destroyed. Present during the mobile court were Upazila Agriculture Officer Nazmul Huda, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Tushar Majumdar, and others.
