Fire at furniture factory in Pangsha, loss of over Tk 15 lakh

A fire broke out at a furniture factory in Pangsha, Rajbari causing a loss of over 15 lakh taka.
The incident took place at Anwar Kabi Market in the Barek More area of Pour Shahar at around 10:30 pm on Thursday. The fire completely destroyed the Fatima Furniture factory and damaged the kitchen of Ayash Restaurant.It is known that the fire broke out suddenly at around 10:30 pm. The fire spread all around within a moment. At that time, the locals informed the fire service. Local people and 3 units of Pangsha-Kalukhali Fire Service and Civil Defense Station came and brought the fire under control.Fatima Furniture owner Md. Harunar Rashid said, I closed the shop at night and went home. Later, I got the news that there was a fire in the shop. I quickly came to the shop and saw that my factory was on fire. After extinguishing the fire with the help of the fire service and locals, I saw that the furniture and expensive wood prepared in the factory had burned down. I lost more than 15 lakh taka. Now I am almost destitute.Taimur Hasan Biplob, owner of Ayash Restaurant, said that various kitchen equipment of my restaurant was burnt down in the fire.Md. Baki Billah, Sub-Station Officer of Pangsha Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, said that after receiving the news, we quickly reached the spot and brought the fire under control after about two and a half hours of effort. It is initially believed that the fire may have started from an electrical short circuit. The exact extent of the damage can be known after the investigation.
