
Govt wants to punish evil circles: CHT Adviser

CHT Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma on Friday said the interim government wants to ensure punishment of evil circles with a conviction to check waste and destruction of the national resources.
"The government wants to ensure punishment for harmful and evil circles. This government is determined to prevent the wastage and destruction of national resources and carry forward development initiatives," he said.
The CHT Affair adviser said this addressing a religious gathering of devotees at the Rajban Bihar Complex in Rangamati district town on the occasion of Boishakhi Purnima, said a PID handout.
The adviser said the government seeks to change the fate of the people by creating employment opportunities and scopes for self-reliance.
“Those who do righteous deeds and live with values never truly die,” he said, adding that a person's birth, wisdom, and death become meaningful when life is dedicated to the well-being of all beings in the universe.
During the festival, prayers were offered for the departed soul of recently deceased Nabarun Chakma. Adviser’s wife Nandita Chakma accompanied him during the programme.
