The six-monthly Rukon conference was held at the initiative of the Joypurhat Sadar Upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The conference began at 7 am on Thursday at the Abbas Ali Khan Auditorium in the city.
The program was presided over by Joypurhat Sadar Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Imran Hossain and moderated by Secretary Joynal Abedin. District Jamaat Ameer and Joypurhat 1 constituency MP candidate Fazlur Rahman Said was present as the chief guest, while District Jamaat Secretary Golam Kibria Mandal was present as the special guest.

Ameer, Mahfuzul Islam, Vadsa Union Ameer Mohammad Ali, Mohammadabad Union Ameer Abdul Gafur, Puranapail Union Ameer Maulana Mostafizur Rahman, Amdai Union Ameer Lecturer Ariful Islam, Bombu Union Ameer Maulana Asadul Islam Asad, Jamalpur Union Ameer Mufti Delwar Hossain, Chakbarkat Union Ameer Maulana Nazim Uddin and others.
Fazlur Rahman, District Jamaat Ameer and MP candidate for Joypurhat 1 constituency, addressed the chief guest.
Fazlur Rahman Said said, "In the current political context, to accelerate the ideological struggle, there is no alternative to the self-purification, piety, and organizational skills of the pillars. Every member of Jamaat must be developed as a real worker of the Islamic movement. All injustices must be eradicated from society. The leadership of dishonest people must be bid farewell from all levels of society and the state."
In his special guest speech, District Jamaat Secretary Golam Kibria addressed the conference participants, saying, "In this era, those who dedicate themselves to the path of establishing religion are fortunate. Every step on this path leads to the pleasure of Allah."
Everyone must work together to ensure that Jamaat-nominated candidates win both seats in Joypurhat in the next parliamentary elections.
The conference lasted from 7 am to noon and was attended by male members of Joypurhat Sadar Upazila.
