"July Mass Uprising Day" was observed in Barguna with due dignity, profound respect, and a series of programs on Wednesday.

The day's events began in the morning with the laying of floral wreaths at the "July Memorial Monument" located at the Barguna Circuit House ground. Barguna Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Taslima Akter paid the initial tribute to the martyrs, followed by separate wreath-laying ceremonies led by Superintendent of Police Kudrat-e-Khuda, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Fattah, District Council Administrator and District BNP Convener Nazrul Islam Molla, Public Prosecutor Nurul Amin, District BNP Member Secretary Humayun Hasan Shahin, former District BNP Vice-President and Freedom Fighter Saleh Faruk, Barguna Press Club President Hafizur Rahman, General Secretary Abu Zafar Saleh, former president and senior journalist Monir Hossain Kamal, alongside representatives from various political, social, and print media organizations.

Following the tribute, the district administration organized a reception program for the families of July martyrs and July fighters at the Barguna Shilpakala Academy auditorium, which included a discussion meeting and a prize distribution ceremony. The event was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, senior district officials, family members of martyrs, and July fighters.

In alignment with nationwide events, preparations were completed for discussions, reminiscence sessions, prayers, and cultural programs. As part of the day's schedule, an exhibition football match between the District Sports Agency and the Government Children's Family is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

The commemorative events reflect deep reverence for those who sacrificed their lives during the uprising, creating a respectful and festive atmosphere across governmental, political, and social circles in Barguna. Additionally, considering children's entertainment, the "Suranjana Park" and "Fun World Park" in Barguna have been kept open free of charge for children for the entire day.
