BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Narsingdi-1 Sadar constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon said, "The July Uprising is not the work of any individual, group or party. It is the fruit of the blood and sacrifice of the common people of this country. We have signed the National July Charter, and we have also pledged to implement it in full, including commas, semicolons and apostrophes. We have made the most sacrifices in the July Charter."

But now some are trying to hijack and capitalize on this movement at the last minute for their own interests.
Citing the example of the past fascist government, he said, "Everyone knows the consequences of dictatorial governments trading in freedom and consciousness. They were not only overthrown, but were forced to flee the country."

Addressing those who are trying to do politics with the July coup based on the two-month movement, he further said, "We have the highest respect for those who played a key role in the movement. We have no conflict or disagreement with them. We want to give them the highest respect."

He made these remarks while attending the reception and discussion meeting of the July Martyrs' Families and July Warriors organized at Narsingdi Shilpakala Academy on the occasion of July Mass Uprising Day on Wednesday afternoon as the chief guest.

Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Israt Jahan Keya presided over the discussion meeting, which was also attended by Manzoor Elahi, MP from Narsingdi-3 Shibpur constituency, Ashraf Uddin Bakul, MP from Narsingdi-5 Raipura constituency, Zilla Parishad Administrator Tofazzal Hossain Master, Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Faruk, Civil Surgeon Dr. Bulbul Kabir, along with family members and injured people of the martyrs of the July Movement.
