Memorial service for Prof K. A. M. Sa'duddin held at DU

A memorial service for the late Professor K. A. M. Sa'duddin of the Department of Sociology of Dhaka University was held on Sunday at Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam was present as the chief guest at the meeting.
The commemoration was presided over by the Acting Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, Prof Dr. Fatema Regina Iqbal. Deans of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof Dr. Mohammad Mainul Islam and Prof Dr. Mahbubullah were special guests and Prof Dr. AI Mahbub Uddin Ahmed spoke as the keynote speaker. In addition, Professor Eva Sadia Sa'd, Prof Nazrul Islam, Dr. Tania Sa'd, Prof Dr. Ishrat Shamim and Prof Dr. Nehal Karim participated in the discussion. Professor Dr. Samina Lutfa and Dr. Lipon Kumar Mandal conducted the program.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam paid deep tribute to the memory of the late Professor K. A. M. Sa'duddin and said that he was a talented teacher and researcher. He always worked for the welfare of the teaching community.
