The North Char Chandia Education and Social Development Forum (NESDF) organized a felicitation program to honor meritorious students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent Dakhil examinations.
The program was held on Friday at a restaurant in Sonagazi Municipality.
Presided over by NESDF President and scientific officer at the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Nazmul Islam Tanvir, the event was graced by several guests of honor.
Among them were: Zainal Abedin, Head Teacher of Sonagazi Md. Saber Government Pilot High School, Mohammad Hanif, Superintendent of Khadijatul Kubra Women’s Dakhil Madrasa, Nazrul Islam, Khatib of Atarbanu Jame Mosque, Abul Kashem, Khatib of Badsha Mia Bhuiyan Jame Mosque, Abdullah Al Mamun, Khatib of Chowdhury Pukurpar Jame Mosque and Nazrul Islam, Khatib of Hamidia Jame Mosque
Speakers at the event included NESDF Vice President and Lecturer at Daffodil International University Nurul Afsar, Organizing Secretary Ashikul Haque Ananda, guardians Emdad Hossain and Sajnin Akter, and student Maruf Hossain.
The program was jointly conducted by NESDF General Secretary and Southeast Bank official Md. Abdul Hai, and Joint General Secretary and NRBC Bank official Main Uddin Didar.
A total of 35 students from North Char Chandia village who scored GPA-5 or passed with commendable results in the 2025 SSC and Dakhil exams were honored. In addition, head teachers from four educational institutions in Sonagazi town and Khatibs of five local mosques were also recognized.
Students expressed that NESDF’s recognition of their academic achievements has inspired them to pursue higher education and build successful careers. Guardians present at the ceremony expressed their gratitude, stating the event motivated their children and fostered a spirit of learning.
All members of the NESDF executive committee were present at the event.
