Newly-posted Kotalipara OC exchanges view with journalists

Kotalipara (Gopalganj) Correspondent
Hafizur Rahman,  newly appointed Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotalipara Police Station, held a meeting with journalists working in various media outlets in Kotalipara, Gopalganj.

The meeting was held at the OC's office in the police station complex on Thursday evening.

He joined Kotalipara Police Station on August 11.  During the meeting, journalists highlighted various problems including drugs and theft in the upazila to the OC and suggested solutions to them.

Seeking the cooperation of journalists in carrying out their professional duties, the new OC Hafizur Rahman said, "It is not possible for the police alone to control law and order, bring criminals under the law and eradicate crime. Journalists can play an important role in this. For this, your cooperation is needed. Journalists will always stand by the police and cooperate in curbing crime. By publishing factual news, a journalist plays an important role in building a humane society and establishing justice in society. Police and journalists will work together to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and eradicate crime."

Kotalipara Police Station Second Officer SI Mamunur Rashid was present at the time. Journalists Kamal Hossain, Subal Chakraborty, Mollah Mohiuddin, Mahabub Sultan, Kazi Palash, Rony Ahmed, Moniruzzaman Sheikh Jewel, among others, spoke at the exchange of views.
