Md. Nesar Uddin, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Louhajong, has inaugurated the renovation work of the old playground in Baniagao village of Bejgao Union, Louhajong Upazila, Munshiganj. 

The renovation aims to make the field suitable for regular sports activities. The official inauguration took place yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon as work began on leveling and refurbishing the old playground.

During the event, UNO Md. Nesar Uddin said, “Sports play a vital role in building a beautiful and healthy life. When the body is healthy, the mind also remains sound. A healthy body and mind increase work enthusiasm and productivity. To keep both body and mind healthy, the importance of sports is immense. Through sports, a person gains physical and mental wellness along with qualities like brotherhood, empathy, and leadership.”

He further stated, “Playgrounds are gradually decreasing over time. The few that remain are often not suitable for playing. The lack of sufficient fields and proper maintenance is reducing sporting activities. To make this field playable regularly, I have allocated 9 tons of rice from the Upazila fund to support the renovation. Some student organization representatives approached me and assured their voluntary assistance in this renovation without any remuneration.”

College unit, Joint Convenor Torikul Islam, Convening Members Fahim Majhi and Shivli Sourav, Asif Khan, President of Bejgao Union Chhatra Dal, Abir Hasan Mun, General Secretary, Rakibul Islam, Organizational Secretary, Faisal Sheikh, First-year University President, along with many other Chhatra Dal leaders and activist were present. .
