Human chain in Joypurhat protesting case agains Amar Desh editor, 5 others

A human chain was held in Joypurhat protesting a conspiratorial case filed by Meghna Group Chairman Mostafa Kamal against the editor of the daily Amar Desh, Mahmudur Rahman, and five other journalists.
The hour-long human chain was organized on Tuesday afternoon at the city’s Zero Point under the banner of the district branch of Pathok Mela.
During the event, Joypurhat Press Club President Abubakar Siddique, Senior Vice President Mashrekul Alam, General Secretary Masud Rana, Amar Desh district correspondent Nazrul Islam, Pathok Mela district president Professor Ashraful Alam Talukder, and NCP district convener Omar Ali, among others, delivered speeches.
