A prayer meeting was held at Dhaka Milestone School and College to pray for the forgiveness of the souls of those who died in the tragic plane crash in Akkelpur, Joypurhat, and for the recovery of the injured on Thursday at around 6 pm at the Gohati ground in Jamalganj Bazar, organized by the Rukindipur Union BNP of the upazila.
Divisional Commissioner, former Secretary and former Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Abdul Bari addressed the event as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Rukindipur Union BNP President Aminur Rahman Choat.
Abdul Bari is a BNP party nomination candidate for Joypurhat-2 constituency.
Also speaking at the event were Akkelpur Upazila BNP General Secretary Arif Iftekhar Ahmed Rana, former District Jubo Dal President Obaidur Rahman Sweet, Akkelpur Upazila Krishak Dal Convener Monowar Hossain Mukul, Kalai Thana BNP Joint Convener Moudud Alam, Khetlal Municipality BNP President Abdul Alim, and Akkelpur Municipality former panel mayor and BNP leader Rafiqul Islam Chapal.
