President of UK BNP and Adviser to the BNP Chairperson, nomination aspirant from Sylhet-3 Constituency (Dakshin Surma, Fenchuganj, and Balaganj), Alhaj M A Malik said that BNP leaders and activists abroad have played a fearless role in the movement to overthrow autocratic Sheikh Hasina and end her rule. Even from foreign soil, they kept alive the anti-fascist movement.

He stated that the BNP has long fought to restore the people’s right to vote, and as a result, the people of the country will be able to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming national election. He expressed his intention to serve the people, bring revolutionary changes in development, agriculture, and education in Sylhet-3, and uphold the dignity of expatriates.

He called upon all BNP activists to work unitedly to implement the 31-point structure of state reform proposed by the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

He made these remarks on Monday  afternoon in response to a grand reception organized by BNP, Jubo Dal, Sramik Dal, Krishak Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, and other affiliated organizations in front of the VIP lounge of Sylhet Osmani International Airport.

Speakers at the event included acting president of Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Rezaul Hasan Quayes Lodi, former president of Sylhet District Bar Association, BNP district advisor, and member of the Bangladesh Bar Council Advocate ATM Faiz Uddin.

Among others present were Sylhet District BNP leader Humayun Ahmed Masuk, Metropolitan BNP leaders Md. Shahed Ahmed and Abdul Wadud, South Surma’s Tetli Union BNP joint general secretary Haji Shah Alam, Tarique Zia Unity Council Sylhet District Convener Ali Nawaz Aziz, Rotarian Ali Miraz Mostak, businessman Md. Akhtar Hossain Sumon, organizational secretary of Ward 6 of CCC BNP Syed Shahid Hossain Shobuj, UK BNP leader Mozammel Hasan Chowdhury Iqbal, Italy BNP leader Lecturer Khalilur Rahman Khokon, Italy BNP leader Ripon Sarkar, former Chhatra Dal leader and JASAS UK BNP convener Tofayel Bashit Topu, Airport Thana BNP convener Abdul Qadir Shomshu, and organizational secretary of Michigan America BNP Md. Tuhin Ahmed, among others.

After the reception at the airport, they visited the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and prayed for the good health and long life of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, along with the welfare of the country and the nation.
